Chrysalis in the Wind

Even when life blows us about, God keeps us until we are transformed into the fullness of His creation.

The Living

This was my first polymer mosaic. I just let the colors flow without a plan. The black and white cane detail glows in the dark, and it features rectangular tiles rather than square. It makes me want to live in its world of color, pattern, and feeling.

2568 Coral Way West

This is my homage to my days in Florida. Warm oranges, pinks, yellows, and greens play together under the sun.

38"Wx 38"L, two inch tiles.

Deep Blue Dream

The kind of dream that makes you never want to wake. Sky, water, and magic blend to make the feeling you get when you want to go back to sleep and continue the dream.
Yes, the starburst cane work glows in the dark too.

Color is my inspiration again. I love looking at lipstick samples and color palettes. Color interatction is what intrigues me. 'Rouge' is made up of shades of red with glow in the dark cane detail. 37Wx 38L, two inch tiles.

Wish You Were Here

This handmade polymer mosaic features 2" square tiles made entirely of polymer clay, entirely by hand, entirely by me. 37Wx 38L
It was inspired by the song 'Wish You Were Here' by Incubus from their Morning View cd.
The star and ripple details glow in the dark.
This one was made for the March PCAGOE chalenge to create something inspired by your favorite song.

Wish You Were Here

I dig my toes into the sand...

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds

Strewn across a blue blanket.

I lean against the wind,

Pretend that I am weightless,

And in this moment I am Happy...

I wish you were here.

I lay my head onto the sand...

The sky resembles a back-lit canopy

With holes punced in it.

I'm counting UFO's,

I signal them with my lighter,

And in this moment I am Happy...

I wish you were here.

The world's a roller coaster

and I am not strapped in.

Maybe I should hold with care

But my hands are bust in the air.

Hardflower Full Circle, Green Goddess

This is a Hardflower Full Circle. It is made using silver clay for the ring, and polymer clay and silver leaf for the inside. This is my signature piece, named for my life. I have come full circle as a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, artist, and a child of God. I am content, but always striving to be better. I am happy!

This is a hardflower. It is made of silver and gold polymer with accents of fuschia and glow in the dark. Is a lovely little sculpture that also functions as an incense burner.

Welcome to the world of Hardflower

HI! I am a polymer clay artist, among many other things, and I've decided to share my work with the world. I've been working with polymer for about fifteen years and I never get tired of it. My inspiration is the every day beauty that is all around us. Sometimes we have to hunt for it, but it is always there.
